Acceptable Use and Website Content Policy
This policy sets out the general standards K2Joom expects when customers or authorised users provide content for, or manage, websites hosted, built or supported by K2Joom. Service agreements may contain additional requirements.
1. Scope
This policy applies to content and website activity managed through services supplied by K2Joom, to the extent that the relevant service agreement makes it applicable. It does not replace a hosting provider’s acceptable-use terms or any law that applies to a customer.
2. Customer responsibility for content
Customers are responsible for ensuring that content they provide or publish is lawful, accurate, appropriately authorised and suitable for the intended audience. This includes text, images, logos, video, downloads, customer reviews, personal data and any third-party materials.
Customers must obtain necessary permissions and licences, respect copyright and trade marks, and ensure that claims about products or services are not misleading. K2Joom may ask for evidence of rights or instructions before publishing supplied materials.

3. Prohibited uses
Customers and authorised users must not use a website or related service to:
- Commit, promote or facilitate unlawful activity, fraud or identity theft.
- Publish content that unlawfully infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Distribute malware, phishing content, spam or unauthorised bulk messages.
- Attempt unauthorised access, interfere with systems, or bypass security controls.
- Send unsolicited marketing in breach of applicable law.
- Upload or distribute content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
- Misuse forms, accounts, hosting resources or third-party services.
4. Personal information and mailing lists
Customers are responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis and providing required notices before collecting or using personal information through their website. Mailing lists must be built and used lawfully, and unsubscribe or preference controls must be honoured where required. Do not collect more information than necessary or place sensitive information in ordinary enquiry forms without an appropriate design and safeguards.
5. Security and account access
Customers must protect login credentials, use appropriate authentication, grant access only to authorised people and notify K2Joom promptly if they suspect an account has been compromised. Shared administrator accounts should be avoided where individual accounts are available.
6. Action where there is a concern
Where K2Joom reasonably believes that content or activity presents a legal, security, operational or third-party risk, it may contact the customer, request correction or removal, suspend a relevant change or take other proportionate action allowed by the applicable agreement and law. Where immediate action is necessary to protect systems or people, action may be taken before advance notice can be given.
K2Joom will aim to explain the concern and give the customer a reasonable opportunity to respond where appropriate.
7. Limits of K2Joom’s role
Unless expressly agreed in writing, K2Joom does not continuously monitor all customer content and does not provide legal advice or guarantee that customer content complies with every law or third-party rule. Customers remain responsible for their business, products, claims and published content.
